Theres a drug that might stave off TKR or PKR surgery. Its called Aquedan. Its available for humans in Europe or from a vet in the U.S. Animals that were forced to lay in a corner off their feet around the clock due to osteoarthritis soon sprung to life after having Aquedan administered. Those in the southwest U.S. could try getting it from a doc or veterinarian down in Mexico. Might be worth a shot if u have advanced O/A with chronic pain. If u the patient tries it please report back!

BTW 70% of people (as stated by the MD in this video) are NOT candidates for parital knee replacements, not unless they will be happy to have additional surgery when they develop arthritis and pain in the remaining portions of the knee. IMO

“if you are overweight, the partial metal plate will squish right through the top of the bottom bone I was told.”

You was told wrong. The bone will actually be stronger because of all the extra weight it has been carrying – Wolff’s Law. The biggest risk in obese people is patellofemoral pain from a portion of the knee not treated by a unicompartmental arthroplasty
